So, i want to use my old Race Face Turbine ISIS cranks on my sons bike.

I have 2 Signature bottom brackets and the Race Face tools to replace the bearings.

In the past i’ve used Enduro bearings 3804 2RS from CRC, these have 3804 2RS printed on the bearing seal. As these weren’t available from CRC so i ordered BrandX 38042RS from CRC, these have 6804RS printed on the bearing seal & 3804 2RS etched onto the bearing.

The new ones from CRC don’t fit 🙁 the axle will not fit through the new ID of the new bearing & its NOT a snug (tap with hammer) fit.

    3804 2RS should measure: 20 x 32 x 10
    The old Enduro ones actually measure: 21.4 x 32.0 x 12.0
    The new BrandX ones actually measure: 19.8 x 32.0 x 11.0
    Axle OD measures: 21.4

Whats going on? Why are they different actual sizes but the same “3804” ❓

    Ta.

Our Enduro bearings measure 32x20x10. Those “old” ones I would say were’t 3804’s. If you need any genuine 3804’s then we have them in stock at BETD.

I’ll bet that whoever has manufactured the bearings has just reused the seals as they have a common OD/ID.

It doesn’t help that many bearings are known by several names, particularly including a “1” after the first digit

I don’t have a paper SKF catalogue any more, but it seems that

    3804 (63804) is 32x20x10 (ODxIDxW)
    6804 (61804) is 32x20x7

The SKF product tables are very handy!
