  • £300 for a hifi. Which one?

    What’s the best at that price? Any offers somewhere?

    Denon DM39 if you want DAB and CD, Marantz MCR510 if you’re more Spotify/Airplay/Internet radio/stream from NAS inclined.

    On top of the two above I’ll add the onkyo crn-755 into the mix.

    It’s the one I went for in the end and an very pleased with it. Having full control from your phone / tablet is very handy

    I have the Onkyo CRN755 in my garage and it’s pretty decent hifi with great sound even in its current location. I’ve not tried it yet for streaming but will be as soon as I have the network out to the garage.

    I looked at the CRN755 and the DM39, they’re both nice bits of kit but I didn’t really want DAB or CD and I did really want built in WiFi so I went for the Marantz in the end. Both of the others have a better feel to them though, the Marantz is a bit “plasticky”.
