    As above.

I currently run my Pipedream Skookum as my “race” bike. The frame is lovely but must be getting on for 6lbs in weight, it’s almost as heavy as the 1×11 XT cassette currently on there 😆

The frame seems an easy place to loose weight from.

So without breaking the bank what should I consider?

Looking for a 19″ to 21″ if you have something 😉

Far easier to loose [sic] weight from your wheels. What are they?

Chinese carbon FTW. some <1kg frames out there for £400 or so.

Your wheels are heavy though, you’ll save more there and it’ll probably make a bigger difference.

I’ve got a medium Open – needs the top tube repairing, and seeing as I’ve already got 2 others (that i don’t ride) I’m never going to get round to it – £400

Standard answer to this used to be On One Scandal, but in their infinite wisdom they stopped making the frame that nearly everyone raved about and wanted for xc on a budget.

Second hand frames do come up from time to time, I got mine on here, raw, large, mk2, love it.
