After a problem fitting V brakes on a Roadrat frame I’ve bought I’m switching to discs and need some cheap as chips wheels. I was going to get the Cotic wheels for £130 but have now seen that Superstar are doing a deal on the Slick 29er wheels for £100.

Now they seem to have quite wide rims at 27mm, is this likely to cause an issue with 700c road tyres? I have some 35mm Ribmo tyres so they aren’t skinny racer things.
