June – The month for rides to the beach
July – The ill-fated ride to the beach, ends up in A&E 🙁
Aug – DezBJr decides mountain biking is his thing! Yay! Just about recovered enough to go to Bike Park Wales for a couple of days
Sep – More local, Southampton Bike Park
Oct – Few trips to Swinley
Nov – Mud and leaves in the South Downs
Dec – still commuting!
Pretty good summary of the highs and lows of my year.

January: A great month. Lots of dry, frosty rides, spent more time on the mtb that month than any other bar June.
February: bit short of photos, a view from the office that caught my eye:
March: Damp out, camp out.
April: Away with work.
May: Top of the nearest hill. Shame it’s out of focus, but just about good enough for instagram.
June: Pembrokeshire
July: local ride with Paul and Adam
August: Couldn’t not have a picture of a ditch with water in it.
September: Portugal
October: Wedding anniversary bike ride. weather every bit as good as it was 5 years before.
November: Frosty again!
December: Toasty again!

Posted 6 years agoFirst year living in the Quantocks, like a kid in a sweetshop.
Not sure what happened in January, but…
February | Roadie route planning needed some work.
March | About to drop into Weacombe
April | Evening rides! First poke around the trails at Triscombe.
May | Spring commute
June | Pint in the Quantock Brewery after a sweltering day in the hills with visiting friends.
July | Being stretchered down the side of a Combe as part of an Exmoor Search and Rescue Exercise.
August | Arse handed to me on a plate by my best mate, who qualified for the Worlds at half Iron distance this year.
September | Showing some more visiting friends around the Tocks.
October | Off the bike for the month after minor op, so treated shock and fork to full strip and rebuild. Would highly recommend Sam at Amped Cycleworx if you’re in the SW, he even sends you photos as the job progresses.
November | Beautiful colours in the combes.
December | Mallet finger. The most innocuous injury I’ve ever suffered but 7 weeks off the bike now. 🙁
