We've got a "Celebrity Dead Pool" running in the office. Pick 5 celebs, one gets double points as a "banker", and whoever has the most points at the end of the year wins. Amazing to think that in such a rich vein of gliterati mortality not one person has scored.

Radio 4 show More or Less did a piece on this which is worth a listen...

A number of people have asked the team if more famous people have died this year compared to other years. It's a hard one to measure - but we have had a go at some back of the envelope calculations with data from Who's Who and BBC obituaries. Is the intuitive feeling that more people have died this year misplaced?
