If you had a specialized storm control tyre and a Panaracer Trailraker. Would the Trailraker be better on front or rear?

Well technically the Trailraker is a soft condition tyre. But they are good in mud.

I would have the mud tyre on the front & the Trailraker on the rear.

Then if I didnt like that I would swap them about.

Or I would see what one is the skinniest when its on the bike & fit that to the rear.

    I hope this helps.

I’d get another spesh storm to make a pair if I was you as its more capable as an allrounder than the trailraker tyre which is really v mud specific

Thanks. I’m not sure why, but I thought the Trailraker would be better on the front.

If i had to run that combo i would run the trailraker up front as the storm will roll better on the rear.

At my local area (Rooty forest singltrack), Trailraker is the tyre of choice in the gloop. Most ride with them both ends and a few (like me) will ride with a Mud X on the rear as they are less draggy.

TR’s tend to grip like mad, Mud X’s not far off but faster rolling.
