I did the red @ Swinley (as a night ride) on the 23rd of Dec and it was fine, my 1 x 11 seemed to work better than usual, but maybe that’s because I was concentrating on not hitting trees 🙂
My XTR 11-36t 10 speed cassette has lasted and lasted and has all the gears I need (yes I do ride up big hills!): I’m in the conundrum that when it wears out do I replace it as it is or move over to 11 speed? With the XT 11 speed weighing in at a half pound heavier than what I have I need to be sure I really need the extra gear low down or pay the premium for the 11 speed XTR (I’m a light guy on a light bike..).
