Am looking at getting some new wheels. Anyway not being of the downhill persuasion i don't know much about upgraded axle standards. So one of the options i've been looking it is a set of DTswiss wheels with a possible 10mm rear thru axle. Is this a downhill freeride only specific standard? & will they work with a frame that doesn't have 10mm specific dropouts? e.g. my chameleon

its a 10mm straight through axle, probably fixed with a bolt or maybe an RWS if its DT.

as long as its 135mm spacing then it should fit in your chameleon.

10mm is the standard diameter for rear axles.

yes it will fit in your dropout as they are 10mm as said above

DT RWS 10mm axles work in just about any standard 135mm QR compatible frames. Should provide a bit of extra stiffness.

I've got a used one for sale if you're interested..
