Hi, running 1 x 9. Need to replace drivetrain and for my bike/riding, I reckon a max rear cog of 36T will be perfect (currently have a max of 34T but a touch more would be bang on).

10 speed stuff seems cheaper than 11 speed – is 10 speed here to stay, will I miss out on not going 11 speed for any reason? Is wear less on 10 speed?

    Cheers

I doubt x10 will be going away any day soon, and if you really don’t want any more than 11-36 then 10 speed means you can get XT instead of Deore.

Hope so I’ve got it three bikes.
