Swapped tyres the other day, 4 thorns and tube was still up! popped it back in with other tyre and still up to full pressure! Great for weight weenies as its very light and have been using it with race tyres and superlight tubes wth no problems! I bought the roadie equivalent when I bought a roadie bike, even using Continental Ultragators, and suffered a puncture every 40 - 50 miles. I've done a bit of research, and I think that if you use the tyre liners with a very high PSI, it can damage the tubes. Mine are Michelin city contact or something. £10 each on CRC. The only punctures I've had have been from 3 inch nails. I always leave bit of extra time to get to work. Presta valve makes slime filling tricky/not possible. </p> <p>Wondered what your views are and what you'd recommend please:<br /> - presta preslimed tubes (Slime, Dr Sludge, other ?)<br /> - Weldtite Sureride or Slime Tube Protector strip or similar anti-puncture tape/strip between tube and tyre<br /> - different type of tyre<br /> - something else ?</p> <p>or just keep carrying a couple of spare tubes, leave home a bit earlier and pray ? </p>
