Eurobike 2016: Pedro’s New Master Tool Kit 3.1, Bearing Press.

by 2

We stopped by the booth three times in hope of catching someone, but Pedro’s appear to be running an unstaffed stand at Eurobike, with no pricing information either. We gleaned a few new things though, filling in with stuff from their website, but alas no UK pricing for now. The new tools include various bits labelled “Master” and “Apprentice”. It might be that information on them is only available to Sith Lords. Firstly, the new Master Tool Kit comes in a bright yellow pelican case:

It’s enormous! Also costs €1490.00

Here it is in all it’s glory.

Hilariously, the Apprentice tool kit comes in a cardboard box. There’s probably a tool roll in there (RRP €599.00).

Also new, so new it’s not on their site, is this headset and bearing press.

Drifts presumably sold separately…
Pedro's
… yes, almost certainly sold seperately.

In the centre are the new pro (€89) and apprentice (€59) chain tools. The difference seems to be a patented retractable pin guide on the pro version.

This photo does not convey just how shiny those tools are.

David started mountain biking in the 90’s, by which he means “Ineptly jumping a Saracen Kili Racer off anything available in a nearby industrial estate”. After growing up and living in some extremely flat places, David moved to Yorkshire specifically for the mountain biking. This felt like a horrible mistake at first, because the hills are so steep, but you get used to them pretty quickly. Previously, David trifled with road and BMX, but mountain bikes always won. He’s most at peace battering down a rough trail, quietly fixing everything that does to a bike, or trying to figure out if that one click of compression damping has made things marginally better or worse. The inept jumping continues to this day.

“Pedro’s appear to be running an unstaffed stand at Eurobike, with no pricing information either”

Yet the rest of the article is about the only one from your entire Eurobike coverage where you give details of several RRP’s

I meant to add to above that UK pricing will inevitably be £1= €1 as pretty much usual and at least pricing was available on their website you haven’t mentioned any indication of UK pricing for anything else where presumably the stands where manned
