The latest from the TransUk office

Only four months to go before the GORE BIKE WEAR™ TransWales 2010 powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito (http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/) will kick off at Penmaenau Caravan Park in Builth Wells on the 14th August 2010.

Entries
The entries to the event have been coming in over the last few weeks with lots of familiar faces appearing on the entry lists as well as new comers. There are still lots of team and solo places available. So if you are up for the biggest mountain bike challenge the UK has to offer than wait no longer and get your entry in to us.

There are two ways of entering the GORE BIKE WEAR™ TransWales 2010 powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito – you can either download an entry form from our entry page (http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/wales/entry.php)and send it through to us together with your payment or you can use the new online entry which you can find on the same page. Our online entry accepts all debit and credit cards making it super quick and trouble free. If you have already paid your deposit by cheque but want to pay the remaining entry fee via credit or debit card simply go on the entry page and click through to the ‘pay your outstanding balance’ button.

Course details
We have again put the course and stage details up on the site (http://www.mtbtransuk.co.uk/wales/stages.php) which will give you a good idea of what is coming your way. It also gives you a certain idea when and where the special stages will be so that you can plan your ‘tactics’ in advance. We are currently working on the route booklet for the event – so if there are any changes or alterations to the various stages then they will go up in the next couple of weeks.

Diet requirements
Our catering team has been in touch to tell us about all the food available and they will be able to caterer for most riders with specific food requirements. We will obviously have vegetarian options available every day but also will be able to cater for riders who are gluten intolerant (provided we have been informed in advance). If you have entered already and you have special requirements please let us know via info@mtbtransuk.co.uk and we will do our best to help.
