Emergency or ‘just get me home legally’ LED lights have been around for a while now and while most consist of single LEDs (one in white, one in red) Knog do things a little differently.

The first thing you notice is an organic quality to the outer. It’s soft edged and rounded (more scallop than frog in the white version). Secondly, the colours. They come in a full rainbow selection for bike pimpin’. Thirdly, you notice the nice simple way they clamp round the bars… or your seat post, rucksack, little finger…

Essentially you have a short loop of very stretchy rubber which is molded as part of the main, equally stretchy, soft body of the light. You stretch this loop around post/bar/pannier and attach to a simple hook that holds the light in place.

Overall: Output-wise they don’t work any better or worse than any other single LED light but they do have a certain friendly something that makes them stand out. Design-wise they’re a nice solution to the ever changing shapes of our bikes.

also know as hipster cysts. as they adorn many a brakeless fixie in Londons famous London.

    Barely legal.
If you want to be seen, get the 4 or 5 LED version.

Tesco do something similar for less than £4 the pair. Don’t have such a good look though.

I keep them in my bag year round incase I find myself on the roads in bad weather; worth having lights on if it’s raining.

been using for half a year now as a back up or just a spare, really good!

Love Knog lights. Got a red Frog set in the rear of my Xen lid, a pair of white ones around the tops of my cow-horn aero bars on my road SS, and a Toad and Bullfrog for more serious winter commuting. Great lights, avoid all the fannying around with stupid brackets when you’ve got four bikes…

Check out the Skinks and Beetles – 2 led front and 4 led rear combo too!!!!!

The red one isn’t too shonkey at all, I find it perfectly suitable as a main light for this time of year.

nice light shame about the battery which is non rechargable and hard to recycle. The bigger ones in the range run on AAA and are much brighter.
    bracketless design is awesome!
