We haven’t seen the first road Grand Tour of the year yet, but plans are already afoot for next year’s UCI Cyclocross World Cup races. The schedule has been released with the following dates and venues pencilled in:
2016-2017 Telenet UCI Cyclo-cross World Cup
- : 21.09.2016 – Cross Vegas, Nevada (USA)
- : 24.09.2016 – Iowa City, Iowa (USA)
- : 23.10.2016 – Valkenburg (NED):
- : 20.11.2016 – Koksijde (BEL)
- : 26.11.2016 – Zeven (GER)
- : 18.12.2016 – Namur (BEL)
- : 26.12.2016 – Heusden-Zolder (BEL)
- : 15.01.2017 – Fiuggi – Roma (ITA)
- : 22.01.2017 – Hoogerheide (NED)
The big news is that the USA will host a second round of the World Cup, shortly after Cross Vegas. Speaking of which, the event that started as a sideshow to the enormous-trade-show, and only became a World Cup race last season, was voted as the best event of 2015/16.
Zeven in Germany and Fiuggi-Roma in Italy also both host World Cup races for the first time.
