Will sram road 10 speed levers work with sram mtb 10 speed rear mechs? They both use 1:1 exact actuation.

Nope. The mtb one pulls more cable. That’s like sinlespeeders running 36:18 vs 32:16. They are both 2:1 but they can’t swap wheels without screwing the ratio up…

May I ask how you know this. I can not find any ratio information on the sram road kit.

I don’t think SRAM road or SRAM 10sp is 1:1.
Pretty sure that it will be compatible, ratio is the same I think (it isn’t 2:1 either).

i think road and mtb sram 10spd is compatible

why would u want to run road shifters with the mtb mechs??

I was going to build a drop bar geared 29er and wanted to use roadie levers with the cables all tucked away nicely. Have a 10 speed sram mech and was buying sram apex levers to use with avid bb7s. Junked the idea now as it was going to cost £300 plus. Expensive experiment with a bike that is effectively a winter hack.
