As per title, can i fit say a deore 2 pot caliper to it. its for a DJ bike , so don't really need MOAR POWER but wondering if it will work

Should be, the M8100 lever is used on both the 2 pot and 4 pot XT calipers.
YES ... its the hoses that change...
So its directly interchangable with any BH90 and easily hackable for BH59
If you mix BH59 and BH90 you need to hack one end... if its BH90 to BH90 it just needs connecting (olive and spike) that comes with the levers
AFAIK, all Shimano levers and calipers are compatible, provided you can get hose fittings for each end, as stevextc said.
Forgot to mention it depends what series Deore (from memory) if they are BH59 or BH90

if the hose is BH90 then use a silver insert
if the hose is BH59 then use a gold insert
the olives are the same for both, as the external diameter of the two hoses are the same.

Yep, its BH59 though so you'd need a BH59 hose (the ones without Banjo) at that end.
If your planning to buy then I'd just get a BH90 one TBH.
