Just wondering if anyone can help. I need to take a stove out and decorate at the back, tile the floor ect. Just wondered if it just unbolt from the chimney liner and bolts back on when I'm done? May be a very slight height difference after tiling.

Ought to, as the liner shouldn't be putting any weight on the stove.

The register plate should be taking the weight so yes you should be able to unbolt the flue pipe ok.

Liner if fitted correctly should be secured at the top of your chimney too, but don't take this as a given, fingers can also be stitched back on too but no guaranteed either ๐Ÿ˜‰

If the flue and liner fall down, you'll definitely need to decorate so nothing lost really ๐Ÿ™‚

Is there an easy sign of if it's going to be falling down? Other than a room full of soot

I know what holds mine up as I fitted it myself.

Knowing this, I'd tie the pipe up to keep it in place as it only goes through a hole in the plate and is then sealed. Yours may be different but it's not worth risking it is it....?
