Its been weeks, nearly a month in fact that the car's been off the road, I've

    replaced the hub bearings,
    replaced the brake disks
    replaced all the brake pads
    replaced the brake lines

And now when it comes to bleeding the feking things, why the fekkerdy fek do I not own a fekking 7mm open fekking ended feking spanner.

    AAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Ohh, and easy bleed vacume bleeding doodars are a complete waste of time, they just suck more air into the calliper down past the bleed niple. Fekking useless pices of poop.

    GGGGGGGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Can you not just use an adjustable spanner?
    Or is there not room?

no room, its in a realy awquard spot (reach under the exhaust, over the leaf springs, and the drum cover pokes out so whatever I use has to be bent, and theres no clearence on the far side so needs to extend only a few mm past the nipple 🙁

to be fair £3.89 is not outrageous for a spanner of reasonable quality.

7mm is also the size for hope/shimano bleed nipples so they are handy to have

I stil recon I'm quids in Vs taking it to the garrage, at the last count I've spend £200 on tools in the last month, but thats barely a mornings work at a garrage and it's easily been more than that so far.

Just bloody furstrating when you get to the last job. having meticulously ordered every tool in advance only to find your spanner set only goes down to 8mm!

I see a gap in the market for people who can fix cars and have the right tools to do it before they start. Anyone think that might be worth following up?

Quick tip for using a vacuum bleeder. Take each nipple out, clean the threads well then wrap one turn of ptfe tape round the threads pulling it really tight as you do, you must stay clear of the tapered end though.
If the threads are too tight to take the tape a big blob of coppaslip round the end of the nipple works nearly as well.

Its a minor bodge but if only slight pressure is needed to release and tighten the nut you could slide a small flat headed screwdriver head between a larger spanner.
Of course its a bit Pikey and be careful not to damage the nut.
