Hi, anyone know how a rear hub on a 2019 Whyte t130c is assembled? Drive side axel cup has loosened, causing freehub play. I can nip this up but cannot see how I lock down the desired pretension on the bearings.

    Stumped.
    cheers.

On my 629 hardtail the axle pushed right through with a cone, (not exactly a cone as its got cartridge bearing, but I’m not sure what else you’d call it) and a lock nut at the disk side. That’s assuming yours is the same hub type of course.

Is a formula hub with an allen key in one end and reverse thread nut on the other ?

That’s it reverse thread drive side and a hex in the axel disc side.

It’s the drive side cap that’s loose, how do I lock it/ the axel off at the right pre load. On the disc side, the hex socket is behind the cap that side. How do I shift that?

    Cheers.
