    Hi,

I’ve finally worn out the shock on my Santa Cruz Tazmon and want to stick a modern shock in it.

I really need a 6.75″ / 1.75″ shock to replace the Risse Genesis, but no-one seems to make one.

Do you know better, or know how I can mod something to that length and stroke?

    Cheers,
    Phill

Fox Vanilla on 2004 Specialized SX – just had mine serviced
    Will a 165×38 be a reasonable compromise?

    As Kid said
I also have an old Spesh SX from that era..
getting 1.75″ stroke springs is a ‘mare too (been looking for an 800lb spring for ever, if you have or know of one let me know?)
as above, 165×38 will give exactly the same bottom out point but it will sit slacker and lower with slightly less travel. TBH it might well ride slightly better than the original old skool geometry.
AFAIK Mojo/Tf will no longer shorten the stroke of Vanillas for you like they used to.

Just realised that my old RM ETSX has a 171×44 Float on it – so a choice of Fox products from that time.

Perhaps it time for me to buy a contemporary frame!
