  • Which wood treatment for old pine climbing frame?

    Afternoon Groovers

Any idea what type of wood treatment would be most appropriate for an old wooden climbing frame please? Thinking lightish colour – the wood has weathered grey in part and could do with a bit of love. I’m thinking oil based and preferably Wickes as it’s on the way home and the £50 Screwfix frenzy to get it all together has sapped any highly spendy urges.

    I thank you.

Personally I’d stain it rather than varnish.

Finished treating some garden furniture at the weekend and it looks like new now.

    Used http://www.ronseal.co.uk/products/hardwood-garden-furniture-oil

    Very happy with the outcome

Maybe the Total wood preserver would suit Pine better??

Thanks fellas – stain it is. I will now go out and buy the wrong one and then have to ride back to Wickes to swap it. Anyone care to take the wager?
