  • Which synthetic Rim Tape? – not Velox as rots

Want to stop using Velox as I have had 2 punctures due to the tape rotting and the tube blowing up into the spoke holes and failing. I realise I could change the tape more often, but I am loosing confidence in it. I am wondering if a synthetic tape (nylon, polyester etc) might be a better bet?

Any suggestions or good/bad experiences with synthetics?

i just use self amalgamating electricians tape on mine. didn't see the point of paying for rim tape.

I've used it on my current wheel build for about 3yrs without changing never had any problems.
