  • What's the OEM Shimano chainset that's like Deore called?

I'm about to sell one that came off my bike, but can't find what model number Shimano give it anywhere.

It's about Deore level, maybe a bit heavier. Hollowtech 2.

    Any ideas?

Check the back of the arm around the pedal hole. Should be stamped FC-M something just there.

Could be an FC-M542 as a guess.

Aha, it's actually a Deore double M545 – but doesn't have "Deore" printed on it for some reason.

    Thanks for that!
