Thinking of taking a weekend boarding trip up there, but struggling to find any info on whether we can expect good snow there or not.

Does anyone have any real-world experience of the snow at this time of year?

This is Scotland you are talking about. It could be amazing, or there could be none at all. There's really no way of knowing.

Best approach with Scotland imo is to take bikes and snowboards, usually one or the other will be viable.

grumm is dead right.

At roughly that point last season I rode (on board) the off beat DH right down to the carpark, the cover was that good. Two years previously at around the same time it was muddy near the bottom of the Goose.

Aonach Mor does tend to hold snow well in the late season though, not uncommon to ride there in late April/early May.

All indications this year are good, reckon you'll be fine.

Variable would be best to describe Scotland's ski conditions. I use Ski Scotland to keep track of conditions. All you can do is check the night before and go if it looks favourable.
