Went to Llandegla on Saterday and did 2 loops round the Black and new Blue sections so coverd just shy of 22 miles in horrible wet muddy conditions, but we still enjoyed it and had a good 2hrs riding. Every ride ive done this year (2 rides a week) so far has been in minging conditions and TBH was getting a bit fed up of all the gear washing and trying to get shoes etc all dry ready for the next ride.

Well that was until today, went to CYB. Again expecting shitty conditions, as upon leaving the house in Wrexham it was damp and cold and had rained heavy over night. Well best ride of the yr so far for sure.

The sun was out in Dollgelau, the trails were perfect and fast. The rock sections dry and grippy and the soil was that nice fluffy mud that does not stick to you or the bike and offerd plenty of grip. SWEET as can be. Rode the MBR trail which took just shy of 1hr 20min and riding it in those perfect conditions reminded me why i love CYB and MTB riding in general. Roll on the summer 😀

Found exactly the same nearly a year ago. Was at Llandegla yesterday, but only popped in for lunch with the family. Hoping to do CYB this week! Looking forward to it already!

if you ride in the dark and the mud and the wet you deserve the goods days more than those who only ride when it’s nice and you’re a better rider for it
