The new Netfix series seems a lot of fun.
Watched 2 on the way down to Weymouth today on the train.
Like a darker, funnier Harry Potter. A couple more tonight I think

Dunno about Harry Potter, the characters preceded that by around half a century! Actually 1937 when the cartoon series started in The New Yorker; the cast in Wednesday look closer to the original cartoon than any of the TV or film versions. I love the original TV series, never really grew to love the two films, although I thought Christina Ricci was brilliant as Wednesday, so this looked interesting. Watched the trailer the other day, and I’m going to take advantage of Netflix two-month free offer to watch it, it looks so good!
And Christina Ricci is in it as well.
I had a huge crush on Caroline Jones as Morticia – I was ten at the time… 🥰

    Good review here.

I’m enjoying it, I really like Jenna Ortega’s take on Wednesday really well. I found Catherine Zeta-Jones as Morticia and Luis Guzmán as Gomez a bit odd and IMO didn’t suit the characters.
