Something simple to use with Public and Private keys.

    Something as strong.

    To encrypt text and files.

Any suggestions or what are others using.

Out of curiosity, why is PGP/GnuPG no use?

You got to pay for PGP 🙁 but your GnuPG has giving me a lead 🙂

Well if that’s your only issue, GPG is the way forward I’d imagine 🙂

I use GPG at work, it’s fully compatible with PGP and while it doesn’t look as nice, works just as well.

Somewhere out there in cyberspace a harddrive spins up and adds redthunder to the watchlist.

As a matter of interest, what sort of thing do you e-mail that is so sensitive you want to encrypt it? (Not a criticism, just curious …)

I’m working on the new Shimano Fly by Wire Rear Mech System.. The servo and the like mainly.

And this is what we are using…

DrJ, suppose you want to send some private data to someone by email. Unless you encrypt it, it’s going to be going across the wire in plain text, viewable by anyone.
