Got a set of Fireball halogens (same as Lumicycles) looking to get a bit more performance out of them and bring the system up to date. Like the wide spread of halogen light but perhaps and LED for commute – seen this LED MR11 bulb upgrade
http://www.energybulbs.co.uk/products/Spotlights/MR11+Spotlights/Deltech+High+Power+Single+LED+MR11/740627042 – looks like it would be a straight swap? Has anyone tried it. Thinking of using the 1w LED in one of the lap units and keeping the 20w halogen flood in the other for off road. Normally I switch between a 10w spot halogen and the 20w flood.

Also, battery is bulky and runs for a few hours – how easy is it to buy an aftermarket Li-on battery thats a bit smaller and lighter, with better run time? would this work with my charger?

As you can tell I have no electrical knowledge whatsoever!!!

Check out the Cree MR11 bits and bobs on the Cutter electronics Aussie website.

    Ditch them halogens for good.
