[Closed] Triple crown fork on a Tracer VP

Morning all,

Upcoming Alps trip is tempting me to put some 160mm forks on my Tracer VP,

However I've noticed a few sets of U-turn Boxxers around for decent prices,

so.. would it be a bad idea to put a triple crown fork (set to 160mm) on it? (I'm thinking it is as I've never seen a tracer with a triple crown setup)

Any advice appreciated

Cheers

Mike

triple clamps will give you restrictive steering is one of the downsides, if your going to run them at 160mm better off looking for a single crown really. Try some 66's or domains

Only issue would be the reduced steering I think. Can't see there being an issue, make sure you have some bump stops on the forks though, stop them denting the frame when you crash.

What forks do you have on it at the moment?

Get some Lyriks with the DH damper...you can get some cheap deals on the ones with 1.5 straight steerers.

Thanks all,

Will e-mail Intense.

Currently have 140mm Revelations.

DH Lyriks look good, any links to some good deals?

Cheers
