i need to replace some bolts from my on one which i've lost or rounded or had to knock a torx in to remove them. Fancy getting some ti ones instead when i read about alloy ones and how they are better in most situations.

now, i've been on tibolts.co.uk (SSC) and also "tasty nuts" who sell both ally and ti bolts, but now when presented with a choice, i don't know which to buy.

Is there any reason not to buy alloy ones over ti ones? they are marginally cheaper and lighter?

alu alloy is not as strong. Ok for bottle cages, mudguards etc. Nothing important like stems and brakes

right will avoid alloy then. Non load bearing parts only.

Yeah I'm going for Ti bolts, stemand brakes mainly. The Ti ones will stay immaculate, no discolouring or tearing.

Alloy for just attaching stuff, steel/titanium for the rest or where you don't know…
