Just wondering if anyone has suggestions for a ride near Cambridge for a few hours on Saturday? Rutland looks a bit too far away to fit in.

Thetford forest, although I don’t know what state it’ll be after the recent weather.

Thetford is about the closest place for a few hours riding, my advice would be to park up at Brandon Country Park, A14, A11, head toward Thetford at traffic lights take left, B1106, follow signs for Centre Parcs, follow road until 40 MPH sign, Brand Country park is on you left.

Take the Blue cycle route out passed the old peoples home on meeting the fire road turn left follow the road slightly up bears rights slight down and about 100 yards on the right there is a trail, enjoy. You should be able to follow the well used routes.

PS the cafe serves great food and cake to die for…
