Nitromors and a brush, or does it need dipping in something more potent?

what is it made of and any chance the welds (if metal) have been smoothed with filler?

Anything other than 100% metal and I would avoid any chemical stripping.

I discovered a fairly simple approach.

    Screwfix paint stripper
    http://www.screwfix.com/p/no-nonsense-paint-varnish-stripper-500ml/17091

Slop it on, leave for a couple hours, slop it on a hit more, leave another couple hours, slop some more on and leave it overnight.

Next day blast it with a pressure washer and hey presto ‘paint be gone’!

Perhaps there might be some ecological issues here but hey I drive a diesel.

    Good luck.

Ps I’ve tried other methods and this has been easiest and most successful.

How much of that Screwfix stuff for one frame?

Used a hot air gun once. Peeled off in big lumps. Pretty easy. Probably depends on the paint though.
