I bought a Cateye cordless computer last year which has stopped working properly – the head unit will only pick up a signal if you hold it right next to the sensor and I’ve tried 2 sets of brand new batteries in both parts.

I bought it with cash, so no credit card proof of purchase, and I didn’t keep the receipt.

I emailed customer services who referred me to Zyro, the UK distributors. They refuse to do anything saying I have to take it up with the shop. The shop won’t do anything without a proof of purchase.

Where do I stand? Really not impressed with Zyro who have been rather dismissive.

As always, your only legal recourse is through the retailer.

Just take the hit & buy a new one with the money that you saved with getting your free Oakleys…..

And without the proof of purchase it sounds like you’re knackered.

If you dont want the sensor i will have it off you, mine decided to commit suicide on the canal, and drown, when a branch hit it and it jumped .

Project, aren’t they calibrated to the specific head unit?

You should seek the advice of a medical professional immediately.
