    The official website is dire and seems more interested in classic car days and selling you tickets than it does in stating if the facility is open yet…

    I understand trains only run as far as Clogwyn, (3/4 of the way there) and that is weather dependent. The cafe at the top will be open “before” 12 June.

    So, does anyone know if the cafe is open yet, and, if not, are the loos open? And, can someone confirm if its possible to walk from Clogwyn to the summit? Is the route ‘easy’ and how is the weather? Three feet of snow?

    Pah, MTFU and do it properly – you’ve gotta earn Snowdon.

    My eight and a half year old daughter and I did it during the school holidays, up via the Miners track and down the PYG, and she coped with it fine.

    As of two weeks ago, no, it wasn’t open and I think the chances of it being open by June are slim to nil.
