got a new hack bike, a pinnacle ramin 1. cracking bit of kit for the money, seriously.
but, i bought a xl, without really looking at the sizing as since i was 17 a xl bike has always fitted.
XL in a mtb is 21'' XL in a road bike is 60cm or so i thought.
a XL in a pinnacle 29er is a 50cm/19.5''
bit miffed really. a tad small, 400mm post should sort it.... 🙁

XL bikes are meant to look like they're restraining a group of heifers in the corner of a field. That doesn't. In fact it looks rather nice

Yeah i notice this a lot as i'm between large/xl on most bikes.

Is the top tube suitably long though?

I am really tempted by these and in that size. Interested to see how you get on. Bargain for the monry.

Looks more in line with medium size bikes!

I would expect an XL road bike to be 25 1/4 inches so it would fit me with a standard short road seatpost

Thankfully it's becoming a standard, finally a bike that's not sit-up and beg or has bars around your knees.

It's also handy with the trend to fit dropper seat posts to everything.

And...

LOLZ! What is this, a 1995 convention?

I'd be put off by that. Would want at least a 22-23inch seattube on a bike like that. It would look better, and having 15+stone bouncing around on a seatpost that long can't be particularly good for the frame?

Looks fine to me tbh, as long as its long enough. Bit unusual yep but it's a hybrid not a road bike so doesn't need to conform with whatever the current fashion is for seatposts.
