It's cool to see how the designs have changed over the years. Think mine is probably the oldest of the lot. You will have to excuse the 1970's clothes and the Speedway getup that the parents made me wear for the photo……..Oh and the 1970's nicotine stained woodchip wallpaper!

This was my birthday present in 1978/79 we can't quite remember, but it had full coil/oil forks and a pair of lovely chromed coil/over rear shocks! The fake plastic fuel tank didn't stay for long!

Bought late 2005. I guess that's when I actually started to take an interest in cycling as more than just a way of getting in to remote hills.

let's have some dates too, so that we can order them.
Oh, and mine was single speed with hub brakes front and rear. So does that make it Niche?

    My first full suss.

I still have it. Although these days the frame is languishing in the garage, I do hope to rebuild it this summer with some lightweight wheels and forks into a lightweight 5" xc bike.

Yep. Rightly so, that shape Enduro was a groundbreaking bike.

I wouldn't consider parting with mine.

I've still got the frame, although a little worse for wear in my shed, just can't find a rear shock unit to fit it 🙁

    Orange X2.
Frame bought new in about '97, was one of the first in the shops, hence the non-standard (but much nicer) colourscheme. So new that first the rear triangle, then later the front triangle were replaced under warranty due to that weird pivot bush design. It lasted almost 8 years till it cracked from the crud catcher boss right round the down tube.

Great bike but not as good as the heckler it was replaced with. Ate shock eyelet bushes and not enough seat adjustment.
