As title really.. im having no joy sourcing a frame here in the uk so im considering persuading a states based pinkbiker to post one.

anyone have any recent experience of doing this?

cost wise, as far as i can tell it looks as though ill pay 20% vat and 4.7% duty at worst?

You'll usually have some sort of fixed handling fee plus the cost of postage is probably quite high.

Ha! no, but i do have a 2019 Trek Slash 9.9 frame kicking about in XL thats half new... (Stealth PSA)

I used a service called myus to buy some stuff from pinkbike classifieds in the USA. Was a pretty decent service but only a $250 purchase. Not sure how different it would be for an expensive frame but the service was good. Made it much easier to convince a US seller to post to a US address.

USPS Global Priority can be used to send frames worldwide. I last used it a couple of years ago and it cost about $80 and took a couple of weeks. It was pretty close to the sizing limits then for a large frame, so LL and S may be a little too much...
