    Sooo.

    Chain on the largest sprocket, tighten cable until it will shift to the smaller ones with each shift at the lever? Right?

    Got quite confused last night…

    yup. no more difficult than a regualr mech to set up, just reversed. you'll be happy, though. rapid rise is, in my opinion, easier in use than a reg. mech and you can jump down into harder gears quicker.
