What a “non-thread”, the message signature is a default one and simple but effective marketing from Apple. It takes two seconds to switch off.

You can do all 5 steps in 2 seconds? Impressive.

    1. From the Home screen, tap “Settings“.

    2. Tap the “Mail, Contacts, Calendars” button.

    3. Tap “Signature“.

    4. Check the option to apply your signature to “All Accounts” or “Per Account“.

    5. Change the Signature text from “Sent from my iPhone” to be blank or to whatever you like. If you selected “Per Account” in step 4, you may have to set the signature for several accounts such as Gmail, AOL, etc. as desired.

This post applies to Apple iOS 7.

I know how to turn it off. But now I think I’ll leave it there as I know it annoys people. 😉

ok ok fair cop. I just tried it and it took 8 seconds ! The good news is that I haven’t had to do it for many years as it’s copied over from phone to phone when I restore backups to configure each new model.

I know how to turn it off but never bothered, why would I waste time doing something that (almost) no one cares about?
