Ok this is probably a dumb question, but i have a truvativ xr post, for 7mm rails i think, and just bought a new saddle that must be 8mm rails as it doesnt fit well. Whats to stop me just filing a bit of the clamp away to make it fit, seeing as there looks like loads of spare on there?

No, i want the saddle, think it will have to be a new post, there arent that many that come in 30.0mm anyway, never mind 8mm rails.
