I got some great shots at the Irish Dh champs last sunday and thought I’d register on roots and rain to sell a few, but a week later I still haven’t had my registration confirmed and I’m starting to wonder if it’s going to be bit of a pain.

Has anyone managed to register as a photog on there and or buy pics? How was the process?

I’ve never used it to buy pics, more just to keep an eye on how I’m doing at races, and how I’m comparing to my mates (which is usually a tad depressing…)

It’s an amazing resource, and miles ahead of anything else I’ve seen. I think the idea is that if you want to punt a few pics, you should sign up in advance and then they will QC your work in order that the quality of the pics is kept up, rather than just allowing ‘any geezer with a camera’ at the side of a track to flog his/her wares.

As a rider I think its great and have bought a couple of prints off there. Very easy. Don’t know what its like for a seller though.
