Seem to remember this a couple of days ago but can’t find it.

My son (9) has some knackered old revoshifters on his bike (6sp) which he can’t operate with gloves on. Marginally better having oiled/greased, etc but still not great. Someone suggested the current revoshifters are much lighter action than the old ones and they’re cheap enough. Or should I try some triggers?

    Anyone any experience?

my 9 yr old has a revo on her bike & has no bother with it

newish one – came from the wooly hat ebay shop VERY cheap

She’s not a ded keen bike rider though, and she’s not got very good (like her dad really) so I’ve nobbled the mech to keep her out of the high gears.

I would go for the Revo shifters.
One of my sons, also 9 has some triggers and he struggles with them because they are too heavy to operate. I am thinking of changing them to Revo as per the younger one’s bike.
