Comes in the same type bottle as all other RS shock oil, pretty sure it is, but not in work to double check.

Yes it's 2.5wt suspension fluid, not hydraulic fluid

Hmmm, Rockshox came back to me and said it's mineral oil ๐Ÿ˜•

Not sure now.

The two are not mutually exclusive.

Shock oil can be mineral, synthetic, or semi-synthetic, so just because it's mineral based won't mean it's brake fluid/not shock oil.

suspension fluid, like engine oil, can be mineral or synthetic.

It is just their 2.5wt fork oil though.

reckon you'll be fine. What brand was it?

Also, worth remembering that one companies 2.5wt can be vastly different from another. It's not a standard.

I'd be happy with that in mine (well, the wife's reverb)

Gave it a bleed this morning, still alive....

Seems to be fine. The fluid that came out of it was yellow ish not red like the reverb bleed fluid is.
