Was looking at a Salsa SUL but discontinued

need about 80-100mm with a rise rather than a drop or zero degrees.

has to be non shit – i know i can get an ETC or a Push one but i want something better made than those !

perhaps have to get ebay creative !

    Have you tried Freshtripe

He doesn't seem to have much in stock at the moment but has nitto stems pretty frequently. He's a really nice guy so might be able to source you something.

I got the "Threadless Stem Adapter" from Freshstripe to enable me to fit any stem I wanted. Using it on an old Spesh Hardrock that I use as a singlespeed commute bike and it's been fine so far.

Nitto Dirt Drop would be spot-on.

    Or how about a Bullmoose:

    Rivendell have them…

its for an old hetchins roadie …. so the bull moose and the threadless adaptor is out … i had a threadless adaptor on my puch and it was UGLY – but functional !

I've got a Nitto Technomic on my old roadie. Mine came from Hubjub. The quality of it is fantastic. Sorry to go on about Rivendell, but they have a lugged quill stem if that appeals. You certainly shouldn't skimp on it for a decent Hetchins.

The Bullmoose remains possibly the collest thing I have ever seen but I really can't see how it would ever be the slightest use to me. 🙂

Fair enough, my singlespeed is a proper frankenstein monster so it adds to the appeal.

I have a very long Nitto Technomic (so it's flat but you can run it very high)I'm not using that I think is 100mm length. Will rummage in the shed this evening. Drop me an email if you're interested.

Might be worth checking out touring cycle specialist shops.

sam – ive been out with the tape measure

really need 60-85mm with a 15degree rise – the SUL was perfect 🙁 ill keep an eye out on fleebay and look in retrobike

Will probably have to be an MTB stem to get those dimensions
