When my phone was getting full up, it turned out the bulk of the memory was taken up by podcasts that I’d stopped just before the end.

Went through my pod app and got it back down to about 50gb

Forks. Am looking for some 29″ 120-130mm so neither of these are of any use to me, but might help someone.

    £360 (using code BF15) 130mm Pike Ultimates 27.5″

    £390 150mm or 160mm Fox 36 Float Performance 29″

Trek have 20%off clearance bikes at the moment using code BlackFriday20.

It means you can get the new trek fuel ex 8 gen 6 for £2080 or a top fuel 8 gen 3 for £2220.

Lots of other options too of course. Might help someone.

Merlin had some good deals on 29 pikes, if you are still looking @thebunk

Cheapest price for an amazing set of winter flat pedal shoes.

I haven’t seen them anywhere near this price before

How do they size up compared to FiveTens?

About the same,  I found them to be slightly wider in the foot. In general I find them to be pretty true to size.

Because they are winter shoes it might be worth going up slightly though to wear warmer socks

    Thanks, I’m a 10 in FiveTens, they’ve got the Vaudes in 9.5 or 10.5 but no 10!
    I could order a 9.5 and 10.5 but I don’t really want the expense/hassle of returning a pair.

And extra 15% off with BF15 code…   I’ve got on a pair on the way (having bought 2 pairs from Amazon that are going back as wrong size).  Really hoping they’re going to be wide enough in a 46 (which I think is the size I wear in Specialized and 5:10, though in proper shoes with a good last I’m a UK10)

Really does look like the best winter flat boot.

this is the Vaude size chart from the box.

@graham1980  it worked on Friday night on those shoes.  I looked yesterday because I was going to post them on this thread but they had gone up quite a bit to about 160 (I know they do live FX rates from Euro-GBP but seemed more than that)

Did seem strange that they were giving BF discount on stuff that was already heavily discounted – maybe that was a mistake and they’ve tweaked it.

No worries,  still a great price at 140

Found this code for Mountain Warehouse that gives 20% off everything including sale stuff when you spend £30.

(seemingly, I obviously didn’t add everything to my basket)

Gore have an additional 25% off sale with code BFVIP25 – I already own the jacket linked below but I went with my usual size last year and it’s snug around the shoulders and chest so I only tend to use it for running, it’s a great jacket for most of the winter, not fully waterproof but much more useable imo. Size up 1 size from your regular size unless you are built more like a roadie. Works out at £75 down from £200.

Parkrun have a 60% off on their apricot range – the mens 1/4 zip long sleeve is really good – I have a few of them as they make an excellent base layer for running or cycling and at £15 they are amazing value

Those Ghost wheels look like a bargain, I was going to get another set of Hunt XC wheels but might have to go for some of these instead.

Damn, I couldn’t resist those wheels at that price. £400 I really didn’t need to spend but an absolute bargain and about 600g lighter than my current wheels

I’ve just noticed they’re centrelock. Do they come with adaptors for 6 bolt discs?

Do you know if you can change the hub adaptors to run them non boost?

    alan1977

No because you can’t offset the discs or cassette  back 3 or 5mm

Same. Though now wondering if I need to buy a new (fancy lightweight?) cassette to go with it rather than the old deore I’ve got on my current set!

@dan7887, these are non boost, slightly heavier, slightly more expensive, but still a heavy reduction:

Does anyone have actual weights for those ghost wheels? Are they really sub 1500g as per spec? So tempted….

There’s some cheap XT centrelock rotors at Merlin at the moment,

re wheel weights, i cant remember if i weighed them bare

but i took my trek comp wheels off complete with discs and cassette, and compared them with the ghost wheels1, same tyres, transferred cassette over, and fitted xt centre lock discs, they were 580g lighter so i reckon the listing is pretty accurate

I weighed my ghost wheels, 1498g with tape and valves…

Those with the Ghost wheels, have you found the specs/sizes for bearings etc along with spoke lengths?

i usually stick to what I know (Hope) as I know spares are plentiful, but the weight of these Ghosts make them mighty tempting.
