His autobiography is complimentary of Obree if anything.

Seems self-deprecating too.

Just been reading his autobiography off the back off this thread.

Quite funny in places, really enjoying it. He credits Obree with pushing him to achieve most of his records and also pushing the sport forward with the first real appreciation of aerodynamics in cycling.

There’s been a mix-up, that paperback cover comes from Philippa York’s book.

I quite like Boardman, he’s got a sardonic sense of humour and he was nice when I met him – minutes after the send of the 1994 Dover to Brighton TdF stage.
