After a commuter but with ability to do a bit of light off road (bridleways, towpaths, local woods but no rocks etc. )

I know the lithium is the more rugged of the two but quite fancy the neon. Done a bit of reading on Evans site with reviews and questions and opinion seem to range between it is just a flat barred road bike (takes 40c tyres !) to it is a flat barred version of the Arkose.

Anybody got any experience of either of them that they could share ?

Both are correct, as the Arkose with 28mm tyres makes a great road (not road race) bike imo. Neon rides like a flat bar road-gravel bike, Lithium is a rigid slimmer tyred 29er – if that makes sense : ) Both do similar jobs, they just feel different.

    Thanks for the response.

So basically both would be fine for the type of riding I want to do.

Think I shall visit local Evans for a couple of test rides 🙂

What is the max width tyre fit on the Neon? Is it the same as the Lithium, 2.2?
