[Closed] Petrol - Does it degrade over time and if so where can I dispose of it?

Had some unleaded in a petrol can for around 2 years from when I had a petrol leaf blower, since sold.

Now got a new chainsaw and wondering whether this 2 year old petrol will be OK? or should I chuck it and get fresh?

Chainsaw is decent Husky so dont want to put any old crap in it. Google search seems to suggest a shelf life of 6 months for petrol?

If I need to chuck it, where can I dispose of it?
