I need a pair of tyres (Lithion 2s) and some bar tape by the weekend as I'm fettling a road bike for a mate. Are CRC still super quick or should I be looking elsewhere?

Mantel in Holland.
Ordered tyres on Wednesday, had them Friday.
Great service and cheapest place by miles.

I used both CRC and Wiggle a couple of weeks ago, ordered at the same time for items in stock. Wiggle 2 days, CRC 3.

Yep CRC used to deliver stuff next day but are now comparatively slow, ordered some stuff Thursday and have yet to receive a dispatch email.

Merlin are very fast and have the super comfy zipp service course tape

Just don't expect next day service when you pay for next day delivery at CRC.

Again not CRC,

Placed an order recently they took the money and order didn't even get dispatched, phoned and was told it was on a lorry awaiting delivery, left it 3 days and and rang again and was told it hadn't been dispatched yet, I tried to cancel the order but was told it was too late. Went on line and ordered the exact same thing made note of the ref number and it turned up after 6 days I rang them to ask where the first order was and they said they were waiting for stock so I explained the whole new order so they cancelled the first order eventually and said it hadn't even been processed.

Another seperate order took nearly a week, gone are the days of their speedy delivery but it's cheap and usually hassle free,

Can't fault CRC myself, although most stuff is getting sent Parcelforce 48 now rather than first class.

Merlin are very good though.

Merlin still very reliable.

Wouldn't take the chance on Ribble if urgent. They can be quick or take a week IME.

Every time I use a LBS they never ever have what I'm looking for, always something similar or same thing different brand but I never get that joyous overwhelming satisfaction that others get when using LBS's

CRC are getting worse everytime I order now waiting on a couple of jerseys I ordered last Thursday in stock. Wiggle are very very hit n miss for me sometimes2 days sometimes 5 days. Shame really. Tredz are sloooow. Merlin were ok last time I used but their prices aren't as good as once we're. German retailers seem to be very good 3 days regularly.

Not CRC any more if my recent experience is indicative. I always opted for free delivery and stuff used to arrive in 1-2 days. Now it's anyone's guess - not been tempted to risk paying for faster delivery as a result

Ordered stuff from crc and wiggle on Monday a few weeks ago, standard delivery

Wiggle came on Wednesday
CRC came Monday afternoon, a week later.

Seems to be CRC getting longer and longer lead times.

Ze germans appear faster and when I ordered some tyres from alltricks they came in 2 days.

Last CRC order I had was on 3-4 day delivery and took 3 days just to get to the NI Post Office.

Yeah it would be difficult to beat Merlin. Next day without fail here

CRC usually despatch stuff the same day but it's taking a day or two longer to be delivered

Wiggle generally slower but more dependable. As an aside they recently price matched an item and sent me this killer code to use at the checkout that discounted the item and put it through next day delivery. And it was indeed delivered the next day by a jovial chap in a Fiesta van absolutely rammed with parcels

I'm glad it's not just me then with CRC, as a comparison I've ordered from ART's Cyclery in the states, UPS were on my doorstep within 48 Hrs with the goodies oh and the import duty

CRC been fine with me. You pay Germans and French for delivery and get it in two days. Just pay CRC for next day and you'll get it in one

Think we all expect a bit much really - cheap prices, wide range and free delivery in one day when the warehouse is in a different country. And then we tell people to support their LBS. All a bit hypocritical I think

Was tempted by click and collect with Halfords, but wait was around a week before i could collect.

Tried CRC about 2 weeks ago, haven't used them for years, paid whatever it was for next day service (£5 ?)

From point of ordering to actually getting the stuff in my hands was around 22 hours, will use them again.

I have to say CRC and Wiggle are a bit hit and miss.
BIKE24 seem to take 3 days, which works for me, just plan your purchases in good time.
It helps when dealing with UK suppliers to get stuff posted to a business address as this always is quicker than home.
I think the delivery van tends to do the business first and often residential parcels can be left for another day.
